St Therese West Wollongong - Laudato Si' Action Plan
We are called to respond to the environmental crisis of the 21st Century by proactively engaging with Pope Francis’ challenge from Laudato Si' for an ecological conversion and we are inspired by both the Australian Catholic Bishops’ Social Justice Statement (2021-2022) and Bishop Brian Mascord’s Diocesan Pastoral Message (October 2021) which invite groups to participate and engage with the Laudato Si’ Action Platform and to develop a Laudato Si’ Action Plan.

As I walk through the troubled world, you protect me.Â
Even in the presence of enemies, you love and give me your flesh and blood at the table.
If God is in my life, all things will be fulfilled. My soul will be joyful and praise God’s glory.
When I was in pain and suffering, you warmed my heart.
When darkness reigned, I could not see, you were a lamp to see on the path.
As I have fallen many times in the path of sin, you have always forgiven me.Â

We want to say to the world, with humility and joy: Look to Christ! Come closer to him! Welcome his word that enlightens and consoles! Listen to his offer of love and become his one family: in the one Christ, we are one. This is the path to follow together, among ourselves but also with our sister Christian churches, with those who follow other religious paths, with those who are searching for God, with all women and men of goodwill, in order to build a new world where peace
