This weekend after our Sunday 10am and 5pm Masses we have our annual “come and see cup of tea” in the parish centre. This is a chance to learn more about the various groups, activities and ministries in the parish, meet and chat with those involved, and see ways you might like to get more involved in the parish – and of course to simply meet each other over a cuppa!
There are a growing number of groups and initiatives in our parish, and I encourage you all to come along even for a little while to support this event and get to know more of what is on offer in our growing parish! Be assured there will be no pressure to join anything if you come along! Thank you to the Parish Pastoral Council for all the work they have done in preparing this event.
I have now finalised my annual leave which will commence this Friday 4th July until the weekend of August 9th (beginning with a National Vocations Directors Conference in Melbourne). I am very grateful to Monsignor David O’Brien (8am Unanderra and 10am West Wollongong Masses from 13th July), Monsignor Bryan Jones (Saturday 5pm Unanderra from 5th July), Fr Leo Duck (Sunday 5pm West Wollongong from 6th July) and Fr Hung Tran (Sunday 12th July, 8am Unanderra and 10am West Wollongong) for covering the weekend Masses while I am away. Note that there will be no 7:45am Mass on Friday 4th July, or 9am Mass or Reconciliation on Saturday 5th July. I will provide more information about weekday Masses and Liturgies in next weekend’s bulletin along with contact details while I am away.
